GUM DISEASE RELIEF AT CASCADIA FAMILY DENTAL

At Cascadia Family Dental, our goal is to effectively mitigate gum disease before it causes your smile any permanent harm. We provide deep cleanings to reverse gum disease and restore your oral health.

The deep cleaning process includes two parts: scaling and root planning.

During scaling, our highly trained and gentle hygienists remove all of the plaque and tartar from above and below the gumline. Root planning means smoothing out the tooth roots to help the gums reattach to the teeth, and prevent future bacteria buildup.

Mild cases of gum disease may be reversed after a single deep cleaning. Other patients may need to return a few times for deep cleanings or regular cleanings to remove all of the stubborn plaque.

Don’t worry—your comfort is important to us. We will provide a local anesthetic during the process so you can remain pain-free.

If you believe you may be experiencing the symptoms of gum disease, call Cascadia Family Dental to schedule an appointment with our caring dentist today.
